So much music... so little time...
There is a lot of great independent music on the
net... but how does one go about finding it... well I'm here to point the way...
So here's how this
works... I have a cookie jar... and in that jar are little pieces of paper... and each piece of paper has the name of a band...
when the mood strikes... I'll pull out a paper and tell ya about the band...

Abbie Huxley, Nashville, TN
It is a rare occurance when an artist reaches out and takes the listener on a magnificant aural journey that completely
satisfies the soul. Abbie Huxley is one of those unique individuals. His EP Pop[R.E.D.] is nothing short of spectacular.
It's almost impossible not to hit replay after each song. Many are quick to draw
comparisons to Eliot Smith, Jeff Buckley and Freddie Mercury... but Abbie has his own voice and emotions. Load up your
plate with a large helping of Humble Pie served up Abbie Style. It will leave you crying... MORE PLEASE...

Sachi, Inland Empire, CA
As we begin a new year, I want to wish everyone Good Fortune and Happiness… In Japanese this translates to SACHI! This eclectic hard rock quintet blends musical styles…metal… southern rock…funk…punk… and more… to deliver a fresh style
solidly built on the cornerstones of genuine rock. Powerful sultry vocals, double lead guitars, melodic bass lines, delicious
keyboards and tribal drum beats, create a sound that is innovative and unique. I’m not the only one taking notice! Sachi
recently opened for Joey Belladona (the Anthrax guy… remember…) in Hollywood and I predict that they will continue to attract
more, richly deserved attention. If you’re weary of the PRIMADONNA served up cold by the music industry, enjoy a little good luck and happiness Sachi style.

Jennie De Voe, Indianapolis, IN
The singer songwriter is alive and well… the most exciting current incarnation is found in Jennie De Voe. A tiny woman with wild hair and a voice that sounds like it should come from a 300 lb gospel singer. Jennie wins over crowds
with her energy, passion, and class 5 hurricane of a voice. There's a reason she has so many fans and it's that voice. DID
I MENTION HER VOICE??? A voice like this could easily be wasted on poorly written material… but Jennie is an accomplished
songwriter and delivers a complete package. Racking up accolades and kudos from music professionals, and fans across the US,
Jennie has the unique ability to connect on many different levels. With three CDs currently available and a massive tour schedule
Jennie De Voe a little Somebody’s Daughter should... no...will be part of your music collection and part of your life.

Los Blancos, Syracuse, NY
Roots music is on the menu today! Los Blancos is a hard working band that performs over 200 shows each year. They have won like a zillion awards, they have 4 full CD’s
available and it is beyond me why this band isn’t a household name??? Their style can only be described as straight-ahead
booty movin’ music! Here’s the Recipe: Take some outlaw country with Rock n’ Roll, NYC Funk with Memphis soul, Latin beats
and zydeco… add a dash of hot stepping swing and you’ve got the REAL THING!!! Oh... and one more critical ingredient… soak
it in tequila… and TORCH IT! Check out Los Blancos and you’ll be Shakin’ that Thing

The Piper Downs, Los Angeles, CA
Named after one of the funniest moments of the movie, “SO I MARRIED AN AXE MURDERER” The Piper Downs play straight ahead pop/rock n’ roll. Their latest CD “VARRYING DEGREES OF FAILURE AND TUNELESSNESS” boasts catchy songs
with more hooks than a tackle box. This is pure sing along music with intelligent lyrics and great melodies.
The Downs have toured most of the US, Australia, Sammy Hagar’s famous Cabo Wabo in Baja, and the UK, (where they played the
Cavern, that little club made famous by some band called the Beatles.) And if that’s not enough they were honored recently
when the Hard Rock Café… asked the Downs to donate a guitar to the Hard Rock wall of memorabilia… this marks the first time
in Hard Rock’s 24-year history that an item from an UNSIGNED act has graced it’s walls! DO I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION???? The
Piper Downs are probably one of the best Pop/Rock Indie bands around… and I’m not the only one who thinks so!

Two Camel Garage, Las Vegas NV
With the by- line, “Their talent is obvious. Their motivation is unstoppable,” Two Camel Garage should be “poster children” for today’s indi musician! Originally hailing from the Pacific Northwest, this band sold everything
to finance their dream! They list their location as Las Vegas, but Vegas is merely the occasional parking space for the converted
school bus that the band calls home. Displaying a true commitment to their musical vision, this band spends a great portion
of their time blazing through the Western States, leaving an avid fan base in their wake! Two Camel Garage rocks the stage
with their all-original alternapop music that packs the dance floor and guarantees a good time!

Four Star Mary, Los Angeles, CA
Four Star Mary brings a refreshing dose of divergent musical backgrounds, delivering sense, sensitivity and a powerful measure of melodic
intuition. This band has enjoyed a slow but steady growth within the overwhelming multitude of bands in the L.A. music scene.
In addition to their incredibly passionate live shows, (These guys are SEEXXXEEE!) Four Star Mary songs have been featured
on television shows such as Fox's "Party of Five," MTV's "The Real World" and the WB's "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"(providing
music for the fictitious band "Dingoes Ate My Baby.") A visit to their website’s message boards reveals a fierce international
following. Their first full-length album, "Thrown to the Wolves," features an intense guitar-based sound backed with edge-driven
beats, overlaid with Tad Looney’s more than gifted voice and compelling lyrics. One word describes FSM music: Addicting!

The Jeff Fetterman Band, Kane PA
Currently working on their third CD, The Jeff Fetterman Band delivers Blues Rock straight from the heart. Jeff’s raw edgy vocal styling captures emotion and intellect. The funky slapping
bass and solid rhythms anchor the sound, which is simply the way music should be! It’s exciting and invigorating with poignant
lyrics. If you like your Rock with a heavy dose of Blues or if you’re a Blues aficionado who thinks outside the box… this
band’s for you!

as erotic, lascivious, fetish performance art. Their newest CD “Some Kinda Voodoo” will be released momentarily. (You can

Hog Whitman, Portland OR
Hog Whitman Well..well…well…. look what popped out of the cookie jar today! Now I
have to issue a WARNING about this artist. This is adult content (not necessarily
mature,) but not for the easily offended. Hog Whitman is a tribute to the power
of pork! His alternative country tunes are musical masterpieces and the lyrics…
well you just have to hear them. His latest CD “Not
Sold in Stores” is the perfect addition for the audiophile looking for something to keep old Aunt Agnes from
overstaying her welcome this next holiday season.
