The J30 Awesome,
hull # 243, and was first raced out of Chicago
under the name of "J Walker"
probably owned by a skipper of the same name. She then was moved on her own
trailer to Kentucky Lakes outside Calvert City,
KY where in 1989 Vivian found her and moved
her to Smithville Lake near Kansas
City, MO. In 1991
Bill and Vivian moved her back home to Chicago
and have her moored at DuSable Harbor.
For 5 years Awesome
had served as an after race party boat, floating sun deck, cabin on the lake,
