The earth will hold us down. In the dirt's horrid clutches, It shall seize us. It will close its jaws, Clench its fists around us, crushing the life out of us. It will swallow us whole, In its deep, black, death, And enclose us in the night. The smell of ground, enveloping, suffocating us, filling our lungs. Turning out the light. The earth will hold us down, So that we cannot touch the sky - our dreams. The earth will close its jaws, And crush the life out of our hearts, Bleeding our souls into itself. The Earth will defeat OUR struggles - IN THE END. |
