Brief
History: This company was into dolls that were
comic book and hero characters and so when they developed the Lone Ranger they had to have
Silver. The earliest would be dated 1974 but
the company has been in operation longer than that. They
had a short success with this group of horses but again their specialty is dolls.
The
horses are four in number with jointed legs and head and tail. They have a stand that the
horses can be placed on to have them rearing. Accessories
are removable and interchangeable.
Authors
comments: Tonto and Lone Ranger ride, Scout and Silver respectively. These horses have many play features and are a
delight to play with. Fully poseable, with
jointed head, tail, and legs. The accessories
included again are easy to lose but fairly durable. There
is a black horse for Butch Cavendish, Smoke", and "Silver", for the
Lone Ranger, and "Scout", is Tonto's mount. They used the same mold for the
horses just varied the colors.
I fail to see why they stopped there. There are a number of other horses and cowboys that could be a future attraction for the collector. They did produce another horse, Banjo, a Palomino for Dan Reed to ride. I'm told the later set is not as valued as the previous mentioned.
