handbook." Seriously, it does continue to sell year after
year because it is a well-written, well-organized comprehensive
guide, rather than a fad wedding planner. We usually have a few

A noted theologian takes on the issues of poverty and social justice,
putting them into a framework of religious belief. Our copy is
a little worn at the edges, and the cover is slightly warped,
but good solid binding.

In very readable fashion, the well-known Christian author and
speaker seeks to persuade us that our faith should make us more
concerned about our earthly environment, not less. The copy is
very nice overall, but there are a few underlinings [pencil only]
in the text.

Companion: Finding the Marks of God's Grace in the World. New

This is a fun book if you're not afraid to be a little challenged
about what you believe. I especially liked his essay on "little
brown jobs" [those birds that even the avid bird-watcher
cannot identify]. The author suggests that some of those "religious"
beliefs we hold so avidly may not be all that positively identifiable,
either. Our copy is in new condition.

A thoughtful - and understandable - discussion of the interrelationships

Still one of the classics about why we go to church, and if we
are making the most of it. Lots of good ideas and food for thought.
On our copy, the dust jacket is worn in places, but the book itself
is still very good.
