If you've been wondering why there hasn't been an update in a while, wonder no more! Here it is! An update! Sort of. I'm just making a minor change right now. I've created an archive for the rants, rather than have them scroll down forever. This way, if anyone cares (mainly me), I'll have a running history of the updates to the site. Unfortunately some of the rants prior to 7/31/01 are gone, so I don't have the complete collection. Also, some of the links on the archive page may no longer work.

I'm not sure what or when the next update will be. I'll definitely be updating the links pages by the end of July and changing the poll, which may or may not be another Britney Spears poll. Maybe I'll have a poll about the Britney Spears polls. The fate of some of the other sections of the site are still up in the air, especially since I can't see how many hits they get (see the 3/5 rant). I'm still looking for a good web hit tracking system, especially one that's free.

Not much else has been happening. I've become addicted to cheapo Italian horror movies, I spent a whole lot of money on new headphones and a PCDP (SlimX, baby!), and I got this great kick-ass game called Typing of the Dead. It's basically the same as the video game House of the Dead, but instead of shooting the zombies, words appear in front of them and you have to type the word to kill the zombie.

Being that it's already March 5th, I figure it's about time to take down the Valentine page. I plan on getting something Easter related up by this weekend. Given the date already, it may not be as elaborate as I had planned. Unfortunately, I've decided that I will no longer be having theme nights. I hate doing this, but I feel it just doesn't pay to have them anymore.

This past weekend my ISP decided to discontinue the page where I could check out my web usage statistics. This is where I could find out how many hits each individual entity on my site got. This included each page, JPEGs, MIDI files etc. It also showed total the number of hits I received each day. In its place, they've put up this other page that is pretty useless. It's basically a bunch of graphs and charts that are totally meaningless to me. There is also no way I can track the number of hits each page gets, as it only shows the current top ten. The top ten only includes actual pages, so I have no idea how many webcam images are viewed. Except for the counter on the main page, the number of webcam image hits is the most important number to me.

This new tracking system is called Urchin. Actually, it's called Urchin light, as there are apparently a number of additional features and statistics available. To get the full version however, I would have to sign up for web hosting through my ISP. If I ever decide to host a domain name, it certainly wouldn't be through them since they charge $19.95 a month. I'm really upset about this whole thing because I just get a general picture of the traffic to my site, and have no way to monitor the number of hits each component gets. My ISP can expect a very irate email from me in the next few days.

Expect another update soon. Not much else is happening except that I've become addicted to pinball (the PC type).

Hmm. There's something about this date - 020202. I just can't put my finger on it. Maybe it'll come to me later. Anyway, I've updated both the poll and the featured dirty book pages. I've also added a Valentine's Day page. Also check the theme night page for an announcement on the future of theme nights.

I was extremely encouraged by the number of hits The Pleasure Box received in January. It was the most ever for a given month, almost double the previous record. I've done a little more advertising of sorts to direct people to this site and so far it seems to be working. From now on, if I am available for chat the message at the top of the webcam image will read, "chat room open." I can't promise I'll be able to chat often but I'll do my best. I rarely use ICQ, so that option to chat with me probably won't be available much longer. I never liked ICQ and was always bombarded with messages from nuts, including this crazy woman from Turkey who every time she logged on claimed she was someone else even though her ICQ number said otherwise.

Anyway, I guess that's it for now. That number is still bothering me though. 020202. 020202. I know it means something, but what? I can't quite figure it out. Oh well.

Well it's a brand new year. I hope everyone had a great holiday season. I've had a lot of fun running this web site over the past two plus years. Some of what I've tried doing with the site, though enjoyable for me, really didn't turn out the way I planned or didn't get the kind of response I was hoping for. Once again I'm debating whether or not to take the site in a different direction. I'll definitely be making changes over the next several months in content and probably the look of the site as well. While I don't think I'll be doing a complete overhaul, by this time next year the site may be quite different than what it is today.

That said, if anyone has any suggestions or ideas about what they would like to see here, send me an email. Since I'm not quite sure myself what I'd like to do, any idea is appreciated. One thing I regret is not being more available for chats and such. I definitely will improve on this in the near future. Right now though I am not too crazy about ICQ or the chat room I have set up, so I plan on looking at alternative ways to communicate with you.

Christmas is fast approaching and it's hard to believe that the year is almost over. Of course, a lot has happened to me recently (see September 11, 2001 - My Story) but life goes on and I'm trying not to let anything damper the holiday spirit.

As promised, for the rest of the month this site will have a holiday theme. So far, I haven't changed much from last year's format, the exception being the Christmas Links pages. Actually, I was quite surprised how many of last year's links still worked. I've deleted those that didn't and added quite a few more. The Pleasure Box Poll has a Christmas theme this month, so please check it out. As time permits, I'll be adding additional holiday stuff to my pages, plus there will be lots of holiday related stuff on the webcam.

Finally, I hope that everyone has a happy, healthy and safe holiday season. The world is a much different place than it was one year ago and despite recent events, it shouldn't deter us from making this a great holiday season. If anything, it should make us stronger and bring us closer together, reminding us that now more than ever, this is the season of giving. Peace on Earth, good will toward men.

Well, as usual, it's taken me a long time to update the site. Things have been busy for me but it probably shouldn't have taken this long. I finally finished September 11, 2001 - My Story. It's basically my account of what happened to me that day. It's long and not very dramatic and may bore you, but at least I got it down in writing.

I know I haven't done too many updates this year. I haven't had a theme night since June. It gets difficult to come up with new ideas. In keeping with tradition though, the month of December will have holiday themes throughout, and I'll try to make it a little different from last year. Look for it to start the first week of December. I'll also be updating the poll and the Featured Dirty Book shortly as well.

I've also been encouraged lately by the number of hits my site has been getting lately. Once again though I have to ask people to please sign the guestbook or drop me an email if you visit the site. I still don't know who most of you people are. Send me pictures of yourself if you'd like and maybe I'll post them. It's been about two years since this site has been in existence. I don't remember the exact date I went live though. It's been lots of fun and I plan on continuing it for the foreseeable future. Thanks for the support.

Gee, another long gap since the last update. I think I have a good excuse this time though. I've, uh, had some major things going on in my life lately. The events of 9/11 have affected us all. I guess it's affected me more than most people since I worked at the World Trade Center. I wasn't in the building (tower 2 to be exact) when the planes hit, but I was close enough. Fortunately, all of my co-workers on my floor who were there at the time got out okay.

The whole day was still an ordeal for me, and you may have noticed on the main page a section entitled, "September 11, 2001 - My Story". If you've clicked on the link you know there's nothing there yet, but I guess by putting it there now, it's sort of forcing me to write my whole experience of that day. My goal is to have it up by 10/15, but as usual we'll have to see. Be patient! I promise I'll get it up.

Okay, I'm a couple of days late but here is the update I promised. The commentary page has been updated with a new name and a second commentary. I've also done a major update to the links pages. This wasn't my original intention but it turned out that way. I've cleaned up and removed all the broken links, moved some links around and added many new links, including two new categories so please check them out.

Look for the next update in early September, if not sooner. And don't forget I'm usually on the cam during some point almost every day.

Okay, so it's been awhile since the last update. It's summer and I've been busy, and judging from the low number of hits to the site recently, it looks like everyone else has been busy as well. I am working on updates for the links pages and the commentary page, and those will be done within the next two weeks. I may also be adding one or two new pages - one detailing my recent Madonna ticket/concert experience and the other a picture page of sorts. I'll decided in the next week or so if I'll be adding those pages, and if so, they'll both be up by the end of the month. Hope the rest of your summer is great, and stay safe.

For those of you who missed last week's theme night, well, you're out of luck. Actually, I was kind of disappointed in the number of hits I had that night. It took a lot of time to prepare and was also a little costly. During the course of the evening I managed to spill barbecue sauce on my rug, got spit all over my rug, dripped candle wax on my linoleum floor, dribbled Jim Beam down my shirt, stained my cutting board with phony blood, nearly choked on an assortment of pills, and got my pants zipper stuck during the Orgasmic Knife Dance. Like I said, for those of you who missed it, you're out of luck.

Despite the low viewership, I do plan on continuing theme nights, although the next one won't be for a few months. Also look for updates in the next couple of months on the Links, Stupid Stories, and Commentary pages, and probably a new poll by the end of the summer.

It's just a few days away from our next theme night! I bet you can't hardly wait. It should be lots of fun. There will be a special FYI page accessible from the webcam page that night. Please read it if you'll be tuning in for Nightmare Night, as it explains some things you may see going on. Also, in the days leading up to Friday, you may see some unusual things going on as I try out various test shots in preparation.

In other news, despite a slow start, May turned out to be one of the busiest months for The Pleasure Box. I was extremely happy with the number of hits I received and so far I'm way ahead of last year's pace. Thanks for stopping by and look for updates later this month.

Well, I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I've updated the poll. It's kind of silly this time and I probably won't have it up too long, but go ahead and check it out anyway.

The bad news is that I've decided to postpone the next theme night from May 18th until June 8th. I hate doing this, especially since almost every other theme night has been postponed for one reason or another. This time I'm postponing it because I've had to make plans for something on the following day and need to get up early in the morning. As a result, I would probably of had to cut the night short so I could get to bed. My intention was to keep this theme night going into the wee hours of the morning, so it just makes sense to change the date so that I could do this, with June 8th being the next best date. Sorry if anyone is disappointed about the change.

Woo hoo! I've actually gotten an update done when I said I would. This is not an April Fool's joke either. It's true! Check out the True Stupid Stories and Featured Dirty Book pages for the latest update. I plan to update the poll next, which should be within a few weeks.

I know, I know, it's been a month since I last updated the site. I've scheduled the next theme night for Friday, May 18th. I know it's a ways off yet but April is kind of a busy month for me and I'll also need some extra time to prepare for it. It should be interesting though.

My latest feature, Totally Biased Politically Incorrect Commentary, doesn't seem to be too popular based on the number of hits it has received, so I'm putting the title of the commentary on the main page in the hope to attract more readers. I'm also contemplating an additional feature as well. I also planning on doing some major "campaigning" in order to attract more people to the site. And I will definitely be updating the Featured Book and True Stupid Stories pages by this weekend. No, really. I mean it this time.

Okay, these updates take longer than I thought. While I didn't update any of the existing pages this time, I have added a new feature called the Totally Biased Politically Incorrect Commentary. Basically it's a venue where I can sound off my opinion on certain topics. The cool thing about it is that it contains a link to a message board where you can also voice your opinions on the subject, so please check it out.

I'm still working on a couple of other page updates, as well as the next Theme Night. I haven't yet decided what the next theme night will be, but it will probably take place in late March so check back soon for an update.

Well, not much of an update, but I've added some new stuff on the links pages. I am working on a new feature for The Pleasure Box that will be ready within the week, as well as a couple of additional updates. I still have not scheduled the next theme night. I'm toying aroung with a few ideas and should have an announcement soon. I had wanted to do something for Valentine's Day but it didn't work out.

So far I've been very encouraged by the response to the latest poll. I'm planning some changes and contemplating a new design for the site which should take effect by late March/early April. Again, any input you may have is appreciated, so send me an email or sign the guestbook.

Gee, that date looks funny. Anyway I have some new things planned for The Pleasure Box in 2001. For starters, there will be no more contests. Please see the contest page for the reason why. Now that I have this website up and running for a little more than a year, I have a few ideas as to what direction I would now like to take it in. However, I would also like the viewers' opinions as well. To facilitate this I have updated the poll page (finally!). Listed are some possible directions I may head in (e.g. adding more humor), and any input from the people who visit this page would be helpful.

In addition to the contests, I may get rid of a couple of other areas and add some new ones as well. Again, that may depend on what direction I decide to take. The poll will probably be up a few months and you can expect to see major changes beginning in March. In the meantime, things will continue to run as normal, and I'll continue to keep the refresh rate on the cam at 15 seconds.

Egad! I've finished my Christmas shopping and it's only December 19th! This is a new record for me. Now hopefully everything will get delivered on time. I've decided that for the rest of December, and maybe even beyond that, the webcam image will refresh every 15 seconds. I should have enough bandwidth to cover it. I will be making another update next week which will be the last for the year. Season's Greetings to all!

Well, Christmas is almost here, and as I mentioned last time, I've added some holiday related stuff to the site. Most notable is the Christmas Links page. I'll be continuing to add additional stuff throughout the month so check back often.

Last time I promised that I would put up a new poll. However, the poll I had in mind was dependent upon the outcome of the presidential election so I had to scrap that idea. I absolutely swear that the first update of the new year will be a new poll (after I remove the Christmas stuff of course). I also did not update the Stupid Stories page but that will get done before the year is out, maybe. I did however update the Featured Book page recently so check that out if you haven't already. There's still time to enter the latest contest. At this point let's just say that anyone who enters has an excellent chance of winning.

Ack! I can't believe how fast this year is going. I had originally planned on updating my site at least every two weeks, but I guess that isn't happening. The next contest has been scheduled. Due to the poor response in past contests, this will be the last one unless there is a significant increase in the number of entrants. This one is fairly easy and I'm giving away some neat prizes. Check out the contest page for all the details.

While I don't currently have the next theme night scheduled, I do plan on having holiday related stuff for the month of December. Check the Theme Night page for details. In the month of November I also plan on putting up a new poll and updating the True Stupid Stories page, and with a little luck a new featured book as well.

While there's lots of stuff on my site, the main purpose of it is to feature my webcam. My goal was to make my webcam a little more unusual and interesting than the multitude of other webcams on the Net. So far I've only been able to do that sporadically, but I'm going to do my best to keep my promise and hopefully you'll be seeing some fun and neat stuff on a more regular basis. I know I also haven't been available to chat very often, and I hope to improve upon that as well.

Finally, October has turned out to be the best month yet for The Pleasure Box. The site has gotten more hits that month than any other. I'm guessing one of the reasons is because I'm now listed in a couple of search engines. I also belong to several webcam rings as well. However, despite the increase in traffic, hardly anyone is bothering to sign the guestbook or send me an email for their comments on the site. Please do! I would love to hear from anyone who visits my site and any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Well, it's almost time for the next theme night and I should have everything ready by then. Since I may run into coordination difficulties, I will probably be increasing the refresh rate of the webcam to 60 seconds for that night only. This will allow me to do some necessary preparations, caption typing, etc.

I've updated the Featured Book of the Week. You'll also notice the main page now reads as Featured Dirty Book of the Week. This section is one of the least popular on my site, and in an effort to attract viewers, the next several books featured will be a little on the naughty side. You still have until 9/30 to enter the latest contest and as I've mentioned before, many of the questions are fairly easy so everyone has a good shot. I also plan on updating the poll with a new question next month.

My big news this update is that I'm increasing the refresh rate of my webcam image from 45 seconds to 30 seconds. That means you'll have to wait 15 seconds less to see me again! Woo Hoo! I've been actively monitoring the bandwidth since the inception of this site, and it should be able to handle the increased number of webcam images.

My other news is that I've had to postpone the next theme night from this coming Tuesday until September 25th. I hate doing this on such a short notice, but some of the items I was planning on using aren't available at the moment. Everything should be ready by the next scheduled date though. As a result, I've also decided to extend the contest deadline until September 30th. Some viewers have expressed concerns that some of the questions are too hard and would require doing some research to obtain the answers. Remember though that you don't have to answer all the questions to enter. Some of them are very easy and require very little thinking. Also note that I have added even more links to some of the link pages.

I've totally redone the links section. This is a major update. Links are now organized by page into several different categories. I plan on updating the links every so often. If you know of any cool sites or would like to add your own site, send me the link and I may add it. I've also added a new section entitled "True Stupid Stories About Real Idiotic People." It should be self explanatory as to what this is. I plan on updating it every month or so. Let me know what you think of it, as I may not keep it on a permamnent basis.

Also, don't forget to enter the latest contest which is underway, sign the guestbook, etc. I've also added a link on the main page to spyonit.com. Last week's theme night didn't quite go the way I wanted it, for reasons I won't get into. I still think it's a great idea though, so I'll be holding another "Let's Get Drunk Online Night" on Friday, June 23rd. I will also be extending the latest contest until June 30th. Within the next few weeks I should be updating the Featured Book page, the Links page, and finally debuting The Blue Room, so check back soon.

I'm still waiting for my site to be listed in the major search engines. Actually, I was listed in Alta Vista but for some reason I'm no longer there. Last week I purchased a USB extension cable. The extra length means I can be more flexible as to where I place my webcam. Viewers will be getting additional angles and views of my apartment, as well as glimpses of the world outside since the cam can now reach three different windows. Unfortunately the cam still can't reach my bathroom or bedroom, but maybe that's not such a bad thing.

I have scheduled the next theme night for Friday, May 19th. It will be Let's Get Drunk Online Night! Please see the Theme Night page for special information regarding this event. I have also posted details on our next contest so please check that out as well.

If you notice on the main page, I've now added a chat room. It's being hosted at beseen.com so I don't have too much control over what happens or what people say. It's not really what I wanted in way of a chat room, but for now it will do. Some of the really nice ones I've seen require a yearly fee, which I'm not willing to pay right now. If I see something else that I really like I will probably switch to it, but for now I'll have to settle for this one.

You may also notice that the latest featured book review is a lot longer than usual. This is because I had a lot to say about it, plus I just finished reading it so it was still pretty fresh in my mind. Don't forget that the latest contest ends in one week, so if you haven't gotten your entry in yet, please do so.

I have now added a guestbook so please sign it!!! It's pretty cool because I can customize it the way I like and can even update it. I also have control over the entries, which is a feature I was looking for. I have been looking at a few different chat options. I tried using the chat that comes with the new version of Webcam32. It basically sets up my PC as the chat server. I had set up a test page which my sister logged into, but unfortunately when she logged out it crashed my PC. I may play around with it a little more, but will probably go with another chat option instead.

Well, Moustache Night has come and gone. For the contest results please check the contest page. I know I had a lot of fun doing it although it was more work than I had anticipated. I have not yet decided what or when the next theme night will be, but it should be sometime in February. Again, if anyone has any ideas or suggestions please email me.

It's just two nights until Moustache Night. Some of the things I was planning didn't quite work out the way I had hoped, but it should still be lots of fun. Well, this site's been up a little more than a month now. I've been a little too busy to add to it but I am going to try my best to do so now on a regular basis. Looking at the counter, it's nice to see that people have been visiting this site, but except for relatives and some friends, I have no idea who you people are. Please email me!!! I may be adding a guestbook in the near future so visitors will be able to sign in.

Also, while I have signed up for ICQ, no one has contacted me yet. I'm not even sure if this thing works. Everytime I check my status it shows me as being offline. So if you see my cam is active and you have ICQ, please try sending me a message.
