Babylon 5

I said I was going to do this years ago when I first put up my site.  I finally have put together a general links page.  It's pretty much a dump of my bookmarks file, but these are the sites I find useful. Links which relate to a particular subject covered above will be found on their respective pages.

General News

The New York Times The paper of record for the nation.
CNN Interactive The Cable News Network online.
New Jersey Online From the Star Ledger of Newark, the best paper for New Jersey news and happenings. Also does a nice job of covering the rest of the world.
Salon Magazine News, and literary views in an online magazine.
Slate Microsoft's version of an online magazine. Worthwhile for the Today's Papers section which sums up the front pages of the nation's major newspapers

NewsHub Collects Technology Headlines from all over the web.
News.com  Technology News from CNET

Search engines/Portals/Whatever they're calling themselves these days.

Yahoo

[ Yahoo! ] options

Google Probably the most useful search engine out there
Google

Lycos Let's face it, they're all pretty interchangable. I tend to use Yahoo for category browsing and AltaVista for keyword searches. But HotBot is also pretty good and Excite and Lycos are much like Yahoo.
Alta Vista
HotBot
Excite

Entertainment

The Internet Movie Database Great for winning bets, or figuring out where you've seen an actor before, has information and credits information for just about every movie out there.
