Imagine a baseball thrown through the air. A high speed camera takes pictures of it showing very great detail - names, laces, etc. Someone shows you a picture - can you tell in what direction it is traveling? or even if it is moving? NO. You would have to know where it was thrown FROM to know what direction it is going. In times of high change, it's good to know a little bit about the PAST to understand the present "freeze frame" of the NOW and project to some degree of accuracy where we are GOING (The Future).
WHERE IS YOUR FOCUS?
Did you ever notice that a rear view mirror is about 2" x 6" and the front windshield is about 2' by 6'? Some people drive down the highway of life with a rear view mirror that is 2x6 feet and occasionally try to peer through a 2x6 inch slit at the future. Would you like to drive at 60mph down an LA freeway with that equipment?
