Opportunity

There's a bitterness about my tea.
But I like it that way.
I have a pot of glass with a core
to hold the leaves, straining the
flavor and the bitter from the
leaves. Some people only brew
for a couple of
minutes; I like to let it sit for hours,
extracting
   all there is from the
core. Sometimes
I even press out the leaves for
every
last
drop.

To the mug I add honey, sometimes a
  touch of lemon
or milk. These
contrast
the bitterness and add a
spice of their own, bringing
out the flavor below the
bitterness. New textures
   develop
with each cup, each
mix it's own
uniqueness. Each one
smelling a little
different. Each one
enjoyable
in it's own way.

There's a bitterness about my life.
But I like it that way.
