The same aliens which gave Wo-Man his armored female body also abducted Mark Robinson and gave him a strap-on harness, which bestowed cliché comic-book superpowers that Mark could barely keep under control.

He pursued a villain of the same alien race as the ones who'd given him the harness, but the villainous alien aimed an odd device at him which increased all of his powers and abilities eightfold.  Now, as was the villain's intent, he could no longer control his powers at all.  But before his wild superpowers could overwelm him, he ripped off the harness, and soundly defeated the villain with what were now natural human abilities eight times better than normal.

Octoplex often teams up with Wo-Man whenever the aliens are causing trouble.
