CHARTER
The Vancouver, Washington West Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints sponsors the Northwest LDS Symphony. It is recognized as an area resource with the Vancouver West Stake as the agent stake. Being sponsored by the LDS Church requires that many policies and procedures of the church and the Church Music Handbook apply to activities.
The Area Presidency and the Chairman of the Church Music Committee recognize the Symphony as an officially sanctioned symphony for the NW Region.
Standards of the church will apply to all members of the Symphony. These specifically include personal grooming and concert dress, conduct in harmony with the Savior and dependable participation in the Symphony.
