As noted,
steering winds SSW so clearing of SC shield following front is slow. RUC thinks it will go away, but satellite
images not showing as good a clearing as I would like to see. Not much else – winds a little stronger,
enough to make a decent ridge, not enough to cause problems.
Synopsis
The
system which brought all the rain is moving out more slowly than expected, but
we should still get in a decent afternoon of soaring. There is a rather sharp gradient in
conditions more-or-less along the ridge line.
Should this line shift conditions might significantly improve or
worsen. PHL discussion worth reading:
