Saturday Weather

24h Forecast for Saturday, 6 September  2003 valid 18Z

Update:  I'll tweak the numbers to be a little weaker, a little lower, and a little bluer.   4,000-4,500 at 2-3kts and a few lonely Cu.

Synopsis:  Huge dome of high pressure over the entire eastern half of the country, with cool, dry air in place.  Hurricane Fabian well out to sea should not be a factor..

Forecast:    Similar to Friday, but slightly drier and less windy.  Still some signs of OD potential inmid- afternoon, as cool air advection abates.   Figuring on 2kts early getting to 3-4kt to 4,500 - 5,000 with Cu (a little higher over the NW quadrant).    Winds not a factor at 3-5kts from the north.   May still be a slightly tricky day, which will be determined by just how much moisture is still around.   I'm going with a little more Cu than the models might suggest given the huge quantities of rain dumped on the area last week.

Confidence:  High
