(11/14/98) --Herrin Softball

I was a part of the 1998 Herrin High School Softball team. We beat a variety of teams to get to the state finals in DeKalb. I am very disappointed that your site pays no interest to Herrin Softball. Our record was 27-6 and from viewing your polls our record was somewhat better than others listed. We beat teams such as Bellevile East, Chatam-Glennwood, Morris + in the state Morton and yes we did get beat by Thornwood in the state finals. I think that Herrin Softball should be recognized for its accomplishments in the 98 season. We had a disadvantage this year because we were moved to AA and had to play larger schools this year. My high school had about 730 people in it while Thornwood's enrollment was in the thousands. If you need any info about our outstanding season don't hesitate to contact me.

(9/11/98) --Thanks for the opportunity

I was browsing the Braggin' Board and enjoyed reading the positive comments and evidence of healthy team pride. Thanks for providing this kind of opportunity for fans, teammates and family. Great idea.

(8/23/98) --Where's the Swimming Coverage?

I am just curious why you don't follow girls swimming. Most competitive swimmers train 11 to 12 months a year, 4 to 5 hours a day. They have far more discipline and commitment than any sport I have seen. At their peek they swim 7+ miles a day. I would challenge volley ball, softball, or baketball atheletes to try and keep up. What do you think?
