(8-23-98) --Mindy Albritton on the Move
Mindy Albritton has been receiving calls of interest from Bradley, the University of Missouri, ISU and IU. As of this date she is still undecided to where she would like to play.
Heard she will be transferring to Richwoods High School for her senior year.

(8-23-98) --Gus Macker in Peoria
Was thrilled to watch basketball at the top high school girls Gus Macker in Peoria. Some really tough competition!!! 1st place went to Allison Curtain's team , 2nd place went to Mindy Albritton's team and 3rd place went to Molly McDowell's team. This court had the best high school players in the state!!
Was very fun to watch!!

(8-15-98) --Taylorville's New Coach
Gary McCullough has been appointed head coach of the Taylorville Lady Tornadoes basketball team. He fills the position vacated by Carol Wilson who has moved on to the head coaching position in the Lincoln College women's basketball program. Gary has served as assistant coach of the Lady Tornadoes as well as the Freshman coach the past four seasons. Gary is the father of Kristi McCullough who is the IHSA All-Time record holder in single-season and career assists.

(9-21-98) --Conant Cougars WIN St. Viator Varsity Volleyball Tournament
The Cougars lost only one game, on the day, en route to the overall championship of the St. Victor Tournament.
In pool play, Conant defeated;
and tied;
In the semi-finals, Conant defeated the #1 seed Rockford-Guilford 15-6, 15-8.
The Cougars finished strong in a 2 game match win against St. Edwards's 15-6, 15-10
Outstanding play was registered throughout the day by Amber Montague, Ty Winkelhake, Jennifer Pettyjohn, Laura Whitted, Katie Dahlquist, Heather Jonasson, Michelle Sternbauer, Lindsay Nosal, Jami Tempera, Pam Medema.

Tammi Spiezio a 98 graduate from Morton High School is going to be attending Creighton University on a softball scholarship. She is a pitcher and 2nd baseman.
