This Indenture made the twenty third Day of June Anno Domini one thousand seven Hundred & sixty six Between Jacob Gorgas of Cogollico Township and Lancaster County yeoman of the one part and Henry Mohler senior of the Township aforesaid yeoman of the other part Whereas the said Jacob Gorgas by an obligation and condition thereunto annexed bearing Date the first Day of Junius Anno Domini one thousand seven hundred and sixty six is bound unto the said Henry Mohler in the Sum of one hundred and sixty Pounds lawfull Money of Pennsylvania for the payment of Eighty Pounds togather with lawful Interest for the same from the said Date as in the said obligation and thereunto annexed Condition more fully and at large Appears Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Jacob Gorgas as well to secure the better unto the said Henry Mohler his heirs and Assigns the Payment of the aforesaid Sum of Eighty Pounds principal together with lawful Interest for the same as also for the further Sum of five Shillings money aforesaid to the said Jacob Gorgas in hand paid by the said Henry Mohler at and before the Sealing and Delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Hath granted Bargained and sold and by these Presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the aforesaid Henry Mohler senior and to his Heirs and Assigns all that Piece or Tract of Land Situate in Cogollico Township aforesaid Beginning at a Stone and from thence extending by Land of Casper Shreid North seventy two degrees East eighty two perches to a Stone thence by Land late of John Bowman South nineteen degrees and an half east twenty five perches to a Post thence South fifty six perches to a Chesnut Tree thence South eighty degrees West twenty six perches to a Stone thence by Land late of Daniel Eicker South fifteen degrees and an half east forty two perches to the place of beginning containing sixteen Acres one half of an Acre and twenty seven perches with a proportionable Allowance at the rate of six Acres percent Togather with all and singular te houses out Houses Edifices and buildings thereon erected and Built Woods underwoods Ways Waters Water courses Profits Comodities Emoluments Hereditaments and Appurtenances whatsoever to the same belonging or in any wise Appertaining And the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and remainders thereof and every part and parcel thereof To have and to hold the said Tract of Land Hereditaments and all and singular the premises above mentioned with the appurtenances unto the said Henry Mohler senior his Heirs and Assigns to the only use & behoof of the same Henry Mohler senior his Heirs and Assigns forever Provided Allways and these Presents are upon Condition nevertheless that if the said Jacob Gorgas his Heirs Executors and Administrators or any of them shall and do well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the aforesaid Henry Mohler senior the aforesaid Sum of eighty Pounds with lawful Interest for the same from the Date hereof Money aforesaid at the Time mentioned in the above in part recited obligation and that without any deduction or defalcation whatsoever then and from thence froth these presents and every thing therein contained shall cease determine and be void anything herein before contained to the contrary whereof in any wise notwithstanding And the said Jacob Gorgas for him self his Heirs Executors and Administrators and Assigns doth covenant and grant to and with the said Henry Mohler senior that he the said Jacob Gorgas his Heirs Executors Administrators will well and truly pay or Cause to be paid the aforementioned Sum of Eighty Pounds with lawful Interest for the same and that in full discharge of the above in part recited bond with out any deduction defalcation whatsoever And that he the said Henry Mohler senior shall and may from Time to Time and at all times after default shall be made in performance of the Proviso or Condition above mentioned peaceably & quietly enter unto have hold ocupey Posess and enjoy the said Tract of Land above mentioned and Premises with The appurtenances without the letsuit trouble hinderance or interuption of him the said Jacob Gorgas his heirs and assigns or of any other person or persons whatsoever Lastly it is covenanted and Agreed upon by the said Jacob Gorgas his Heirs and Assings shall and may at all Times until default shall be made in performance of the Proviso or Condition herein before mentioned peaceably and Quietly have hold and Enjoy all & singular the said Premises above mentioned and receive and take the Rents and Profits thereof to his and their own proper Use and benefit any thing therein contained to the Contrary thereof Notwithstanding In Witness whereof the said Parties to these Presents have interchangeably hereunto set their hands and Seals the day & Year first above written.
