Description: The dwarf French Guiana morph of Dendrobates tinctorius is black with yellow markings on the head and body, and blue on the belly and legs. They are 1.25 to 1.5 inches long at maturity. The males make a soft buzzing call.
Wild habitat: This species of dart frog is from the rainforest of French Guiana, in South America, where they live on the forest floor and on low plants.
