MI © Feb-March 2013: God bless Pope Francis I! Viva il Papa!
Occurrences in the first week of the season of Lent 2013 © 2/17/13
I think Pope Benedict's resignation (Mon 2/11/13 effective 2/28/13) shows true respect for the difficult position as the Pope, Vicar of Christ. His humble submission that he could no longer do the job well & the Church, God's people, deserve someone better, truly shows this. I admire him for that & I commend his ~8 years of doing a great job. He's a great asset to our Church, for his extensive knowledge of all Vatican documents, Theology, & I personally like him for his scholarly, intellectual, conservative, gentle, quiet stature. Of course, my #1 favorite is still his predecessor, the late (Bl.) Pope John Paul II (see "In Memoriam" link) I pray that God will again bless the conclave to elect an even better one to succeed Pope Benedict. Just like the big "worldwide" event that happened in the history of the Church when Pope JP II died, this is another one of those because it was ~700 years ago since there was a pope who resigned. However, because of how "graceful" Pope Benedict XVI did it, there is such peace & calm & I felt it's several notches below in "excitement" level compared to the "grand exit" of his predecessor, JPII's funeral & the conclave that was held afterwards, that elected him. I was not going to post much comments about this besides what everyone already knows from the news. I was settled with praying & waiting for the conclave to start until some other things occurred this week which made me rethink that this is not just another "plain vanilla" event in the history of the Roman Catholic Church. Because of these (3) things, which "intercepted my brain wave signaling":
Link to Vatican Fatima Secrets
Keep in mind that the 1st & 2nd prophecies were already fulfilled but there have been doubts that the 3rd Fatima prophecy has - although some related it to the assasination attempt to former Pope JP II, who did not die from that attempt. The shot was not fatal; he was saved when he bowed down to look at a child's pendant of Our Lady of Fatima. I know, I know, evil generations look for signs but here are the key points on the 3rd Fatima secret/prophecy:
Okey, I don't know if these past week's events have any bearing or relation to the Third Fatima Secret & really, if something BIG will be happening to our Roman Catholic Church next. Some say it's the end of the Church. How do they figure? I continue to trust Jesus' "promise" to the first pope, Peter..."You are Rock,...on this Rock I shall build my Church..." & "THE GATES OF HELL WILL NEVER PREVAIL..." And I understand all such evil & culture of death: same-gender marriages, abortion, sexual partners amongst bishops (like in Anglican Churches), ...even women ordination. Priests, since Melchizevek, have always been MEN. It's God's call. Not human's. Bottom line, if you have not prayed for our Church, for the pope, for the conclave's election of a new pope next month, THIS IS THE TIME to pray. If you have prayed before, this is the time to PRAY EVEN HARDER. I, as others did, prayed hard in 2005 & I do believe, Pope Benedict XVI, although he did not want to be pope, was divinely chosen then. Again, please pray for our Church, for the cardinals in the conclave, for Pope Benedict XVI. LET US PRAY: Lord Jesus, please bless and take care of Your Church Militant. Holy Spirit, please guide all cardinals in the upcoming conclave. Our Lady of Fatima, please protect us all with your mantle. Our Lady of Rosary, please pray for all of us in the Church. St. Michael, the Archangel, help us fight the good fight against Satan. --- excerpt quoted from Vatican link stated above --- “J.M.J. The third part of the secret revealed at the Cova da Iria-Fatima, on 13 July 1917. I write in obedience to you, my God, who command me to do so through his Excellency the Bishop of Leiria and through your Most Holy Mother and mine. After the two parts which I have already explained, at the left of Our Lady and a little above, we saw an Angel with a flaming sword in his left hand; flashing, it gave out flames that looked as though they would set the world on fire; but they died out in contact with the splendour that Our Lady radiated towards him from her right hand: pointing to the earth with his right hand, the Angel cried out in a loud voice: ‘Penance, Penance, Penance!'. And we saw in an immense light that is God: ‘something similar to how people appear in a mirror when they pass in front of it' a Bishop dressed in White ‘we had the impression that it was the Holy Father'. Other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious going up a steep mountain, at the top of which there was a big Cross of rough-hewn trunks as of a cork-tree with the bark; before reaching there the Holy Father passed through a big city half in ruins and half trembling with halting step, afflicted with pain and sorrow, he prayed for the souls of the corpses he met on his way; having reached the top of the mountain, on his knees at the foot of the big Cross he was killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him, and in the same way there died one after another the other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious, and various lay people of different ranks and positions. Beneath the two arms of the Cross there were two Angels each with a crystal aspersorium in his hand, in which they gathered up the blood of the Martyrs and with it sprinkled the souls that were making their way to God.
