I hope you enjoyed this draft of a virtual rendition of what a large scale CAM initiative could evolve to in the future. The TCAM concept described could be framed within the context of an "open system of systems". An open system can be identified by collaboration, growth, continuous improvement & innovative strategic planning. The key to making a system of systems operate synergistically and productively would be a steering committee composed of principle players from each "subsystem". For example, it is conceivable that any school [or board] might invest in CAM initiatives in a medical student program and CME, a law school initiative, a school of management effort and say an architecture initiative. Open communication between decision makers from each discipline would effectively improve not only their area, but would synergistically help each other facet to evolve and optimize ! This designated board of directors could conceivably award interdisiplinary degrees, such as one with a concentration in Innovative Health Systems Leadership and a focus in Strategy and Policy Development [i.e. International TCAM orientation]. "The whole is greater than the sum of its parts". In fact, the name Wholecam or Wcam could also fit a large integrated learning organizational system dedicated to well being and prevention. The general concept may be readily applied to other domains as well ! |
