So... What am I?

• For one thing, I spend way too much time in front of the computer. :)

• Uh... I like college radio! There's another factoid.

• I don't interest myself, apparently.
  Now there's a surprise! I wrote more about the tree! I miss that tree...
  Oh well, she's growing back...

  I've had my list of fave musicians lying about in the computer for years now, but I think I'm going to leave it at "I like music!" *ahem*

• I forced myself to pick my all-time favourite musical artists to save page space and they would be (along with my fave albums): Tom Waits (Frank's Wild Years), The Beatles (Abbey Road!!! My first Beatles album.), Hall & Oates (Rock N' Soul), Elton John (everything he's done), Billy Joel (Glass Houses), Sting (the man can't write anything bad) and Level 42 (Level Best).
  I know, I know...Beethoven and Vangelis are up there towards the top of the list too. And Frank Sinatra. And Sarah McLachlan. And Dinah Washington. And John Williams. Eliot Thompson's not so bad either *ahem* And... well, see, there I go...

• I'm into X-Files and Homicide: Life On The Street, thanks to Mama Nan. Did I call the Emmy for "Subway" or what? Heh...

• I'm a Star Wars freak. I spent my seventh year on this planet being Princess Leia. I'm sure you did too. Anyone know where that happy-faced stormtrooper was?

• As if you couldn't guess by my nom de...keyboard. *ahem* I'm a major Monty Python freak. I went from pretending to be Princess Leia to actually being a Gumby. And it's okay if you bring up the green clay guy, I don't get violent anymore. About that, at least. :)

• My birthday is June 23 1974. Doesn't that just explain everything?

• I really like different music. Really different music. Like when everyone was listening to Bruce Springsteen in the 80's, I was listening to Taco. I can't help it.

• I like jokes. Good jokes. I like happy stuff. Just flat out wackiness. Strangely enough, no one that knows me (except for those few that know me), knows I have a sense of humor. That cracks me up.

• I was given binoculars for Christmas of 1983... I spotted Orion. I was hooked. I'm an Astronomy looney... And I can see everything from The Bronx too! I got a telescope for Christmas of '95 and got all hysterical 'cause I couldn't see anything with it at first.
  Those...uh...eyepiece things? They're important. *ahem*

• I suppose I should mention that I play piano. I've been doing that for (crikey!) 13 years. My piano's name is Ham. *ahem* I was reading David Copperfield... Me can play Chariots of Fire real good! *ahem*

• And my favourite James Bond would be Timothy Dalton. So there. I mean, I like the other guys too, but the two Dalton movies were IMHO the best.

• Oh yes... I'm a wanna-be vegetarian, I say wanna-be because occasionally I apologize a lot and... well. Once a year maybe. *sigh* See, it's hard to be Italian and Veggie, especially when I've got the most excellent cook I know for a grandmother and she makes really really good meatballs. But now I've even turned her against meat. Hmm.

My favourite authors are Douglas Adams, Stephen King, Anne Rice, Charles Dickens, James Joyce, Arthur Conan Doyle and William Shakespeare. (Is he an author or a playwright? Hmm.) I also have a kind of sick obsession with Nancy Drew, whoever was being Carolyn Keene.

I like any movie with Harrison Ford in it.

My all-time fave Monty Python movie has to be The Holy Grail. I like Terry Gilliam's movies too. Tom Waits is in The Fisher King you know. :)

And although they're not movies, now that I'm on the subject of Pythons, Michael Palin's three travel series rule.
I love Fawlty Towers and Ripping Yarns too.
Well, we've gone completely off movies now, haven't we?

And my favourite shade of blue? Hooloovoo. It's my aura, you know. Entirely blue aura. Of course, that would explain the throat...

Okay, now I know it may shock and horrify some of you to see me spelling my name with a Y. I like it, Wonder Woman likes it, and Steve Wariner liked it. Got him a pretty good song too.
Also I fall into spelling colour and favourite with more u's than most of us in the states are used to. I don't do it public, just amongst my friends, okay? I also know which side the staple goes on, but maybe those of us that staple in the right corner used to be some higher life form, who knows?
Then again, maybe we're just silly.
