Lopi Doux and Lainey Too

Hi, I'm Linda from Ohio. This page was created to introduce my pride and joy, Norilyn Joyeux Lopi Doux, CDX, PT, OA, AXJ - more commonly known as Lopi. Lopi is a tawny Briard with cropped ears. He began his life in New Jersey and in June of 1994 joined me in Ohio at the age of 9 weeks. Lopi's name came from one of my favorite wool, knitting yarns, appropriate for a herding dog, and the "sweet" part of his name certainly applies too. He is the first dog I've raised and we are having a ball. We began obedience training right away - and we've never stopped. He earned his third CDX leg in April of 1999 and we are working on Utility exercises. Agility has been great fun and we are trialing toward our Excellent Standard title. He finished the Excellent Jumpers title in October 2002. As much as we like obedience and agility, I think sheep herding has to be his favorite. Finally, at the age of 7 he earned his PT title at the 2001 BCA National Specialty. I was ready to retire us from herding, but now.......




	When Lopi was almost 6, I decided it was time to add another briard to our family. CH Philaine de Bejaune NA joined our lives in January of 2000. I made up the word from "Phil- for "love of" and "-laine" for "wool". She is called Lainey. Hopefully Lainey will follow in her cousin, Lopi's footsteps in obedience someday. For now we’re concentrating on agility, and she earned her first Novice Jumpers leg at the 2001 BCA National Specialty. She finished her Novice Standard Title in October 2002 with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons. Though she doesn’t consider it nearly as fun as racing across dogwalks and slamming teeters we also gave conformation a try and she finished her championship on August 1, 2002. .
