Homosexuals and Bisexuals

Pardon my ignorance, but I know next to nothing about the concerns of homosexuals or bisexuals.

Are you a homosexual/bisexual man or woman?

I understand that homosexual men never have any trouble finding a partner. Is that true? One guy, in another e-mail discussion group said that he once went into a gay bar and found guys eager to pick him up; "It takes skill to avoid it." When he went to a straight bar he saw a few women there, but those women had no interest in picking him up.

Are you still up against some hostility because you're gay? Have the bashers been stopped, as the public now believes that they have? Or are you still in fear of someone coming after you with a baseball bat?

............

If you are bisexual, then would you have anything in common with heterosexual men?

A few lesbians have told me, in private online communication, that they don't have an easy time finding a partner. One told me that her lover sometimes cooks a nice dinner for her; and that made her feel loved and special. So, do lesbians generally look for the same kind of respect and consideration things in a lover that self-respecting heterosexuals look for? What about the self-confidence and aggressiveness that most heterosexual women look for?
