Credentials and Experience

I received my A.B. from Radcliffe College in 1971, my M.A. from the University of Hawaii in 1974, and my Ph.D. in developmental psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1977. After teaching psychology for several years at Southeast Missouri State University, I went back to school at Georgia State and retrained in clinical. I've been licensed in Georgia since 1987, have been in full-time clinical practice since 1988, and have been in independent practice in Roswell since January 1993.

I keep my training fresh and current each year by attending seminars, workshops and conferences on a broad range of topics. Over the last several years, I've taken extensive training in the most up-to-date techniques for the treatment of trauma and stress.  I've also trained other clinicians in the U.S., Canada, and Europe in both traditional and innovative approaches to treatment.

I'm a member of the American Psychological Association and the Georgia Psychological Association. In GPA, I served on the Board of Directors of the Division of Independent Practice.  Currently, I serve as Board Secretary for the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP), and I'm the director of our certification program in CEP.  I'm also a past president of the Georgia Hypnosis Society.
