Smelly Egg was created in March of 1999 by J. Michael Evans to promote his music, the music he is associated with and his new CD project with the band "Perish."

Michael is a registered writer of BMI, and is on the up and coming music scene. Presently he is performing in the band "Rockville" in the areas from Virginia Beach to Hampton on a regular basis, and recording his new modern rock music with "Perish." The "Perish" CD entitled "On the edge of Eden" should be ready for release sometime later this year.

As a teenager, Michael started playing bass guitar for a band he helped put together called Everlasting Life. He later performed with other local bands like Foreworth Agile, Red Stone, Wieler, and the Don Steinhouer Band. He also performed with and co-produced the band "Chipper Dove's" first CD "Power's On" which was released March 29th, 1999 on the Black Pumpkin Record label. Two of his works titled "She want's all of my Money" and "Totally Lose Control" are on that CD project which is still available through www.Amazon.com.

Michael connected with a local writer in Richmond, Virginia named Kenneth Green. Together, they co-wrote the song "Pouring Rain" for the new "Perish" CD project. This song may be released sometime this year as a possible single.

Michael, along with Rockville, can be seen almost every weekend in venues around the Peninsula. They perform Modern Rock, Classic Rock, and Original music.
