Geisha, Midnight, Gion
Black
limosine, isolated
beads of rain
with standing waves
interior
light, white
linen, Poe-white
skin, cool,
dry,
black
eyes, black eyes that
did not look away. I
might have been a crow,
picking at a snake, I
might have been
a ghost,
an idiot child,
run to darkwet streets,
an image, refracted
in a drop of
rain.
