The overall idea of the letter is to
review all of her involvement with the arts during the recent past and to project, with some certainty, what she has planned
for the future.
The letter is being sent to persons who
have shown some interest in her work and to those person who wish to be informed of her future plans and activities.
THE AUSTRIAN CONNECTION
Ingrid began her summertime activity
in company with her daughter, Alexandra, on a painting tour of Austria. Alexandra is a high school art teacher in the
Tucson, AZ school system and is an accomplished artist in her own right. And, like her mother, she is comfortable and adept
with watercolors and acrylics. They spent the entire stay in and around the Salzkammergut - the lake district - ensconcing
themselves in the charming small village of Strobl. From there, they would make daily forays into the center of town
or into the countryside, interspersed with an occasional a trip to Salzburg.
Ingrid later returned to Austria in November
for a one-woman exhibition at Die Galerie der Wirtschaftkammer Niederoesterreich in the center of Vienna. She indulged
her leisure time, of course, in the many coffee and pastry shops in the area especially the "Cafe Central" a noted haunt
of the Viennese cognoscenti and literati.

Ingrid is busily working on the Mayor’s Art Awards committee which is focusing on the upcoming annual event
at the Coronado Thearter this June 18th. This will be her third year of participation
in the event. In prior years she has donated an acrylic painting that has been
used for the invitation, the original being auctioned at the event. She will

She will have little time between the above happening and her scheduled “grand art work” to be completed “on scene” at
the Rockford Art Museum from June 16th through June 27th,
2003. She will be painting a garden on a medium approximately 32 feet by 8 feet. An assistant will help her.. Individuals

PORTRAITS
Ingrid is now painting portraits. She has reinvigorated her portrait talents from the long ago. She has completed several commissioned works and portraits of her three children in recent months. The works are executed in soft pastel or charcoal at the present time and can be accomplished
by a photograph of the subject only or by a partial studio sitting. Contact Ingrid

FREEPORT
Ingrid was one of eight artists from the surrounding area to participate in the Freeport Arts Center
“Art in Bloom” show this past January and February. The show’s
theme, as you all have guessed, was floral. She also was in the same “Art
in Bloom” exhibition there in 2000.
GREETING CARDS
Ingrid has become a greeting card person. A new company, the
Romantic Card Company, Beverly Hills, CA has four of her painting images on their new line of Romantic Cards. The initial 12 cards are seen and can be ordered on their web site, www.romanticcardcompany.com The line is being extended to 24 cards

BACK BURNER
Many of you have attended one or more "First Thursdays", a get acquainted time for businesses
in the North End Commons area of Rockford to introduce patrons to their places of business. On the first Thursday of
each month, between 5 and 8 p.m., the doors are open. A banner outside each participating establishment herralds
the welcome. The newest additions are the North End Neighborhood CoffeeBar and Fiori de Amore Floral Shop.
If you attend, you might find something a little more bracing at Ingrid's Studio.
The Midway Village and Museum Center held it second annual "American Gala" in February at Giovanni's in
Rockford. Ingrid was invited to paint a Midway Village scene to be presented and auctioned at the event. This
she did with her usual aplomb. In the same vein, she has produced images for reproduction on the invitations of other
events such as the Mendelssohn Club, Rockford: City of Gardens and Klehm Arboretum.
For those of you with a burning desire to wield the brush, Ingrid's Studio can accomodate. Ingrid
holds successive Wednesday sessions and all week-end long painting workshops. The Wednesday sessions are from 9 to 12
noon for four successive Wednesday and from 10 to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 to 5 p.m. on Sundays for the week end sessions.
