He died about 1926 in Brazil, Clay Co, IN. Magnolia and Gale Ashton (in August, 1997) recalled making a visit to Brazil, IN in about 1926, where they met a very old man who was their great-grandfather. He was dying of consumption. Shortly after that it was discovered that Magnolia had been infected as well, whether by exposure on this trip or via another means. He was married to Ellen JOHNSON about 1872.
