Major sections of a site for historic pianist Leopold
Godowsky have been completed; they include a detailed listing of his several hundred
compositions, a biography, bulletin board / e-mail subscription functionality, and the
world's first complete discography of his music. Continuing work includes a discography of
Godowsky's own performances.
Earl Wild is a distinguished pianist who won the 1997
Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Soloist Performance (without Orchestra). He has been an
active performer for over fifty years and has worked with many renowned musicians. This
site was commissioned by Michael Rolland Davis Productions.
Kaikhosru Shapurji Sorabji was a 20th century composer
who wrote works of extraordinary length and beauty, particularly for the piano. This site
was commissioned by the Sorabji Archive, and is supported by a research grant from McGill
University.
