The Ice Cream Parlor - West Liberty

The Ice Cream Parlor (that's the name, hey it's a small town everyone knows where the place is) has been a West Liberty fixture for decades. The place is famous for friendly scoopers and good ice cream (not made on site). One of the things that keeps people coming back and/or driving for miles is homemade waffle cones, made right in front of customers eyes. A dash of malt in the mix gives the cones an extraordinary taste. The parlor has been known to sell about 150 of these cones on busy days during summer. The customers don't mind the momentary delay in gratification for one of these handcrafted ice cream delivery devices, especially since it allows time to sample flavors and broken cones. In March of 2004 the the scoops and the keys to the store were handed over to Kathy and Jim Kauffman so drop in to wish them luck in their new business.
