WHY A POND?

     Hey don't believe all the hype you  read in those brochures.  Sometimes a 10% discount will get you a prefab pond.

     I had my  turtle  in a 6' in diameter plastic wading pool located in a make shift greenhouse.  I didn't get into visit him often and would supply him with feeder fish and earthworms, but it was very uncomfortable in that hothouse, so I wouldn't linger very long.

     last year, my roommate, received a 10% discount on purchases made at Home Depot.  At the time they didn't have the 85 gallon pond so we got the 48 gallon  model.

     My roommate dug a hole in the backyard where I had prepared the ground for a garden this year.  I got the garden put in, it's not as big as I wanted but that's okay, that's another story.

     It is common knowledge that watching  fish is relaxing, but I find that watching fish in a pond instead of an aquarium is far more interesting.  A small pond takes about the same amount of time as an aquarium.
