Instructions for downloading a calendar file from the Seattle Matrix web site as a CSV
file.
- Click on the link for the calendar file you want to download.
- On the menu bar, click "File".
- From the drop-down menu, click "Save As...".
- Within the "Save in:" box, select the appropriate disk and directory (folder).
- Within the "File name:" box, type in an appropriate filename.
- Within the "Save as type:" box, ensure that "CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv)" is selected.
- Click "Save".
- Remember or write down the location and filename of the file you just saved. You will need the location and filename
when you import this file into Microsoft Outlook.
- Click the "Back" button on your browser.
Instructions for importing a CSV file into Microsoft Outlook 2000
- Close your browser, to ensure that your browser does not have a lock on those files you just downloaded.
- Start Microsoft Outlook.
Note: "Microsoft Outlook" refers to the full version of Outlook, not
Microsoft Outlook Express.
- On the menu bar, click "File".
- From the drop-down menu, click "Import and Export...".
- Within "Choose an action to perform:" box, select "Import from another program or file" and click "Next".
- Within "Select file type to import from:" box, select "Comma Separated Values (DOS)" and click "Next".
- Within "File to import:" box,
either type in the filename of the dance file you downloaded and saved, or
use the "Browse" button and find your file.
- Within the "Options" box, select "Replace duplicates with items imported" radio button and click "Next".
- Within the "Select destination folder:" box, select "Calendar" and click "Next".
- Within the "The following actions will be performed:" box, verify that the file you intend to import is shown as the
actual file to be imported.
- Click "Finish".
