Information Accommodations
Participants
are encouraged to camp at Kula Kai Caverns.
Tents, bedding, etc. are your own responsibility.
There are primitive outhouse facilitates at the
Caverns. There is NO
WATER at the campground, so
please bring your own. Please contact the event
coordinator if you wish for a list of hotels.
Meals
A continental breakfast and
a lunch will be provided to participants on both
Saturday and Sunday. Dinner will also be provided
on Saturday night. No food will be provided on
Friday evening.
Directions
Kula Kai Caverns is located
40 miles south of Kona near South Point. From
Highway 11, turn oceanside on Kona Kai. Travel
1.4 miles to Lauhala and turn right. Kula Kai is
on the right hand side.

Arrivals
Registration will be open
at the Kula Kai Caverns Field Office from 7-10 p.m. on
Friday, February 9, and from 7-8 am on Saturday,
February 10. Participants are encouraged to
arrive on Friday evening.
Schedule
Breakfast is from 7-8 am,
with class starting promptly at 8 am each day.
Class will end at 6 pm on Saturday, and at 4 pm
on Sunday. Saturday dinner will be served after class.
The Course Coordinator reserves the right to
modify the schedule to fit the needs of the
students.
Non-students
Due to the nature of this
seminar, no activities are planned for
non-students.
