Linux Users of New YorkLUNY is New York's Linux user group. Our primary goal is responsible advocacy of the Linux and open-source platforms, especially at the enterprise level. Membership is free and all members are welcome.
MEETINGS
LUNY Meetings are normally the second Tuesday of each monthfrom 6:30 - 9:00 PM .

After our meetings, we normally move to a local commercial establishment for food, drink, and general relaxing.
VOLUNTEERISM
LUNY is an all-volunteer organization. We are completely dependent upon our volunteers and our sponsors for the support of our activities and website.
COMMUNITY LUNY has ties to other open-source groups with whome we sometimes co-sponsor events (such as Installfests):
LXNY New York's Free Computing organization, covering all open-source software. Meets first Tuesday of each month in midtown. NYLUG Our sister organization that meets in midtown on the third Wednesday each month. FUNY New York's BSD User Group, supporting freeBSD, netBSD, BSDI, OpenBSD, and open-source applications.
