Gilmore of Pelham, MA. John married 2nd Amy Thomas,
widow of Robert Codding, and had seven children. He married
3rd 1832 Rebecca Wyman. Robert Cochran (wife Mary Gilmore) is
approved by DAR, but his service may not be right.
Rebecca had dower's rights with John Oakes estate. She sold her dower's rights of $12.
a year and use of the land and buildings 11-19-1855. She died 9-31-1869, age 82 yrs, 7
mos. John & Esther's marriage recorded Book A, page 65. John Oakes bought land from William Coit 1793, recorded
Franklin Co, VT, page 78.
