HELP ME BUILD A BRIDGE |

I would like to establish my John Garrett with the following family
.
No known documentation is located as yet. D-8 Charles Garrett, born 1735, died 1782 Buckingham Co, VA, married 1755 Mary Ayers, born 1745, daughter of Matthias & Elizabeth Hales Ayres. Matthias had a land grant of 2000 acres in Albemarle Co. VA, coming from Henrico Co, VA. Charles was in the Revolutionary War and is approved by DAR. Many of his children and associated families moved to Madison Co, KY ca 1800.
Hopefully proof will surface to establish the following: John Garrett, born ca 1750, moved to Madison Co, KY, where he showed tax records of 1800 & 1810. Cannot prove this is the John known to be a son of Charles. The children were put together by a Madison and Garrard Co, KY genealogist, many years ago, for the family of Rachel Sloan Garrett. Since the genealogist lived in and was the county judge of Garrard County, it should be recognized as proof, but DAR will probably not accept this as fact without further backup. I would like to establish him as a documented son, so I can have Charles Garrett as my Revolutionary War Patriot. F-1 Nancy Garrett, b ca 1770, m 5-12-1790 Joshua Hartley. There is a little brief statement regarding the marriage in Madison County Bond Book. It has a statement with a corner torn worn away but saying that they were married according to license from the clerk's office. LDS film # 183303, p 142.
