I'm not going to just be repairing engines. Here's a short list of "To-Do's" for the future:
1) Resurrect the BME-50 in improved form, with back mount, improved power, a multi-bolt hub, better ignition, and
lower cost ($459 anyone?).
2) Find a way to get parts for all those 110/115 owners out there who need their engines fixed. Keep the
115 alive.
3) Develop and bring to market a "tween sized" single, between the 50 and 80cc engines that has markedly more power
than ANY 50-55cc engine yet weighs within a couple of ounces of the DA-50, and is substantially lighter than the 3W 50-55
but much more powerful. Light enough for the current 80-88" planes, but a substantial power boost for them without the
weight penalty of an 80. Priced UNDER $600.
4) Take the next step with the "tween size" single, and make a flat twin version. More power than the BME-115,
less weight than a DA100 or 3W 106 (5.25-5.5 lbs), and able to run right with a modified 3W 120. Perfect for those
105-114" planes currently hitting the market, maybe even the 3meter planes. Then price it LESS than a 100. . around
$1050 +shipping.
5) Go after the "big dogs" . .. those guys with the 150's and 170's. . .190+ cc's, 6.5-7 lbs. . less than $1300.
How far in the future will these things take shape. . . unlike Keith Baker, I'm not going to be playing around with things.
Get it done right the FIRST time, start production, and move onto the next phase. It won't be tomorrow. . .you'll know
it happened when it hits the market. No false starts allowed.
