A Pentagon Federal Money Market Certificate means high yields and security. Your savings are federally insured up to $100,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the U.S. government. You can extend this coverage even further by various combinations of account ownership. Speak to a member service representative for details, or request a copy of the "Your Insured Funds brochure."

Definition:  A Certificate of Deposit or CD is certificate from a bank stating that the named party has a specified sum on deposit, usually for a given period of time at a fixed rate of interest.  Often there is a penalty for early withdrawal (taking your money out before the specified period of time.)
