Almost all of the days have "short cuts" built in for people who are having "biological" problems (sleeping late, nursing hangovers, etc.) or cars with mechanical problems.  We will be taking several circuitous routes this year.  For example, on Day One, we will be driving 225 miles... just to get to SALIDA! And as usual, if you want the "best-est ,twistiest and most scenery-est" roads, resist the temptation to take shortcuts. Or be ready to hear a lot of "You missed a great ..." after the drive!
