Today is the "Off" day of the Cruise. Feel free to do whatever you like. It doesn't
even have to be car-related! Visit Telluride, go four-wheeling, hiking, rafting, shopping or anything you want!
We will have a couple of options for day trips in your Cobra. Depending on the weather gods we might
make another attempt at the San Juan Skyway Loop. This would be about 240 miles. We would head back to Ridgway then south
to Ouray and over Red Mountain Pass to Silverton. We would continue on going over Molas Divide and Coal Bank Pass
before arriving in Durango. We'll head west from Durango toward Cortez and then back east over Lizard Head Pass before returning
to Telluride.
If the weather gods are not cooperating, we could also do a drive out to Gateway and back. This would
be more of a desert drive with a great road following the Dolores River into Gateway. We could eat lunch in Gateway and
possibly even do a tour of the Gateway Auto Museum. This round trip would be about 212 miles.
