Adoption Teleseminar Jennifer Abernathy, Website: www.discoveradoption.com Jennifer is one of our initial members as she suffered with HELLP syndrome in April 1995. Her daughter, born 3 months early and 2 ˝ lbs. is now 10 and thriving. Jennifer and her husband wanted to expand their family but realized that they didn't want to "risk" the possibility of another near fatal pregnancy. That's when she turned to adoption! They adopted their son Brayan from Guatemala two years ago and they are very happy. Jennifer wants to "give back" to the HELLP community by offering a inspiring teleseminar next month to HELLP members.
Seminar: You can have the family of your dreams after HELLP! The seminar will focus on how to make peace with your decision to adopt - Where to start? Things to consider when looking at all of your options. Join Jennifer for an encouraging discussion exclusively for our HELLP community! You can sign up for the Teleseminar by going to www.discoveradoption.com
Click on the Teleseminar link and email Jennifer to sign up. The Teleseminar will be November 10 at 8pm EST. and is only $10 per family. There will also be a forum for questions.
Candlelight Vigil in Indianapolis Julie JLesh@APSLLC.com In 2002, I developed HELLP at 25 weeks. My daughter was delivered by emergency c-section just a few days later. She weighed 1lb, 10oz. Today, she is a beautiful, healthy 3 year old. The reason I am writing is because many who suffer from HELLP end up with a premature baby. I am currently serving on a committee with the Indianapolis Chapter of the March of Dimes. On November 15th, we are holding a candlelight vigil and prematurity roll-call on the canal in downtown Indianapolis. We are looking for names of premature babies to read. Each name that we read will have a candle lit in that child's honor. We need the name, number of weeks premature, date of birth and date of death (if applicable). The HELLP Syndrome Society, Inc. website did so much for me in the weeks following my daughter's birth. Each month, I check it faithfully to see how pregnant women are doing and to see if I can get the nerve to ever have another child.
