Hello everyone,
Thank you for all who have volunteered so far to participate in genetic testing for HELLP Syndrome. Dr. Wilson has already mailed out swabs for several volunteers. It is not too late for anyone to participate. You can find out more information on our web site at
www.hellpsyndrome.org and click on Genetic Testing. There you will find the appropriate consent forms to complete as well. Dr. Wilson is interested in examining cotton swabs from the inside of your cheek and compare them to other family members such as your mother, sister(s), children and partner. You will not need to travel and all information can be mailed. If you have not completed one of our HELLP SS Surveys, please do so. This can be downloaded and printed from our web site at
www.hellpsyndrome.org. Also, the researchers need to have your medical records from all pregnancies.
