From Donna dmmetler@bellsouth.net (Memphis, TN) 8 week update: First the big news-based on the ultrasound, it looks like this baby is a girl. This is a major sigh of relief for no logical reason-but emotionally, it still feels like having a girl is a lot "safer" than having another boy. Everything looks great-the triple screen was negative and blood counts are still good. No signs of pre-eclampsia or pregnancy induced hypertension or HELLP yet! The baby is measuring a little above expected size/weight for her age, but nothing surprising-we're still looking at a due date right about at Christmas. No changes as to what I'm doing except continued reminders to relax, lie down or put my feet up as much as possible, etc, even when I don't feel tired. Next OB appointment is 8/24 and next ultrasound is 9/9. Thanks for your support
