"...Beginning immediately, Kevin O'Connell of Washington, Pa. is going to be assuming much of the work of the HSS..."

Warm greetings from Bethany, West Virginia,

If you have not been to Bethany, I should tell you that it's a small village, nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.  The primary reason for Bethany's existence is Bethany College, a private liberal arts college with enrollment of less than a thousand.  See http://www.bethanywv.edu/  It's very quiet right now, as all of us who work at BC are getting ready for the return of our students and the beginning of the fall semester on August 30.

The biggest news in our area is that Cabela's has just opened a new distribution center and huge store near Wheeling.  This is a boost to our local economy and has caused much excitement. I tell you this because Cabela's is supposed to bring thousands of people into our area.  If any of our members plan a trip to visit Cabela's, I'd love to meet you.  Bethany is not far from Cabela's.

Beginning immediately, Kevin O'Connell of Washington, Pa. is going to be assuming much of the work of the HSS.  Kevin's wife, Sharel, is a HELLP survivor and member of the Preeclampsia Foundation.  Please put Kevin's email address whtfirebird@yahoo.com in your address book so you can accept mail from him.

Volunteering for the HSS for the last eight years has been both rewarding and exhausting.  I'm ready to begin passing the torch to someone younger than me.  Please keep Kevin notified of your email and postal address changes so he can keep an accurate database.  We need all of you to assist us as we continue our efforts to educate people about HELLP syndrome and provide support to its victims.

Warmest regards,

Judy
