From Nicole nreyna@phoenixchildrens.com My first child was born at 32 weeks because of HELLP. I just found out that I am 6 weeks pregnant again. What are my chances of having HELLP again?
From Dawn I had HELLP syndrome November 2005. My platelets dropped to 44,000. Off the charts from what I was told. Thank God my daughter was perfect - 5 pounds, apgar score a 9. I had epigastric pain so severe...went to the hospital Saturday evening where my doc was doing other deliveries and from then on it's history. It's really funny - just today I was looking at my blood work that my doctor ordered a month before November 12th and my liver enzymes (AST,ALT) were getting really out of range. Nobody ever caught this. Anyway...I am scared to death to have another child. Do you know of any specialists in my area? I live in Pembroke Pines Florida. Thank you for your time.
From Anita knighta3121@bellsouth.net Let me first start off by saying, "Thank You." I have been researching HELLP since I had it in 1997. More times than not... doctors have never heard of it. That doesn't make it easy to get answers to my questions. Since HELLP, I have had problems with mood swings, depression, headaches, feeling of heartburn, weight gain, hysterectomy due to adenomyosis and tumors, basal cell carcinoma and symptoms of fibromyalgia. To put it simply, I do not feel well at all. I would appreciate any information you may be able to give me. I am looking for some relief from any and or most of my problems. Thank you!
