"...Found a great doctor in the maternal and fetal medicine department and feel good about him..."

I am 12 weeks pregnant, due 12/9/03.  I have a wonderful son, Winston, who was induced at 36 1/2 weeks when I got sick. He was born on 9/9/99. The delivery was quick - less than 5 hours, but I kept getting sick.  Platelets down to 15,000.  After a couple days in ICU and a few units of blood, I bounced back and have had no lingering symptoms.

It took DH and I a while to talk about having another.  Had a full screening for Lupus, clotting diseases and anything else that might have caused it and everything came back fine.  Got pregnant quickly.

Found a great doctor in the maternal and fetal medicine department and feel good about him.  Also plan on taking hypnobirthing classes for another drug-free (except for the pitocin and magnesium sulfate the first time) delivery. Send good vibes and thoughts my way!
