sandyscouter@msn.com AnneMarie's baby, William Alexander "Xander" was born Tuesday late afternoon. AnneMarie's blood pressure was rising, and the doctors didn't want to wait any longer. They kept her on Mag Sulfate for 24 hours and then watched her for another 24 hours. He was BIG for being early -- 7 pounds 7 ounces and 21 inches long, but he still was early. He seems to be doing fine other than he has jaundice, so he is under the bili lights at home. Other than tired, AnneMarie is doing well. She is having to supplement feeding right now, but baby and mom are doing well. It has been a LONG month.

Sarahrgreen@aol.com Hello, I just wanted to share my story to give other women some hope after HELLP. I had our first daughter, Bethanie, at 27 weeks weighing 1 pound 12 ounces in 2000 due to HELLP. She, thankfully, is a very healthy and smart 4 year old with an unbelievable imagination. I was really scared to try for another child but decided to put it in God's hands and we did try again. I am excited to announce that on February 12, 2005, I gave birth to Elianna Hope at 38 weeks weighing a whopping 8 pounds 1 ounce!! I didn't do much differently this time around. I had lost 40 pounds right before becoming pregnant (although I was still overweight), I drank lots of water, and I took Prima Care 1 prenatal vitamin with Omega 3 Fatty acid. I also had started going to the dentist on a regular basis where as before Bethanie it had been several years since my last dentist appointment (but I didn't have gum disease). And most importantly I prayed, ALOT! I'm not sure if any of the things I did really made a difference but it couldn't have hurt. For support I joined the preeclampsia foundation forums which emotionally helped a lot. This pregnancy, other than being filled with worry, was the picture perfect pregnancy and I am very thankful for that. Anyone who has questions for me, please feel free to email me.
