Our love and deepest sympathy goes to...

From Summer
(Normal, IL) CVT1128@msn.com I lost my sister to HELLP syndrome/preeclampsia 8 days ago.  Her baby survived, but with multiple birth defects, most of which were easily fixable, but a few that are still a struggle.  My sister was one of the rare few who actually slipped into a deep coma 8 hrs post C-section, and never recovered.  She was my best friend and I don't know how to go on without her.  She was 27 years old, and this was her first pregnancy.  She did everything right...exercised, ate healthy, etc.  Doctors were confounded.  I would appreciate any way in which I can help prevent this from happening to other women.  It's amazing how your priorities change when tragedy strikes your family.  I will do whatever I can to help increase awareness or assist in research for this horrific syndrome.  Thank you in advance for any information you can send me, and thank you for your informative website.

hanson-parry@sympatico.ca I am a recent survivor of HELLP syndrome. My husband and I lost our first child, a daughter, Ila Elizabeth, to HELLP syndrome, at 25 weeks, 2 days gestation. We are devastated, but in working through our grief, are trying to find out what we can about this condition. It is my understanding that you may have some information available.

gosteplan@hotmail.com I was stricken with HELLP Syndrome on April 8th, 2004. My Doctors were able to save my life but unfortunately, it was too late for my 6 1/2 month son. My husband Steven and I are mourning the loss of our child and trying to learn more of what happened to me. It is a tough road ahead as you know and I am glad to have learned about your site through a social worker in the hospital. If you could send us any information it would be helpful and very appreciated.
