From Julie and David
Julie@butziger.com (Warwick, RI) I lost my baby to HELLP and saw your name to contact to be included in a memorial list.  His name was to be Andrew Shane.  He was brought into the world by c-section but never had a breath, at 31 weeks.  That was January 8th.  The hospital kept me for 12 days, trying to get antibiotics and fluids into me, and trying to get my blood pressure back down to normal.  I actually have a long story but am too tired too type it all in now, I just wrote to the representatives in Massachusetts and Connecticut and am hoping they are somewhere near me (because no one is listed to talk to in Rhode Island). I am searching for a HELLP support group anywhere near me because I am a mess. Please write back.  Thank you.

From Andy
ananth31@yahoo.com (NJ) With heavy heart I have to inform you that my sister, Sujatha, passed away on Tuesday in Trivandrum, India. She gave up a few hrs after I left US shores. My folks kept her body for my arrival in India. The death certificate indicates multiple organ failure and immediate cause of death is due to Aspiration Pneumonia. I will be back to US on the 10th April. Thanks again for all the help.
(Editor's note:  Sujatha's baby did survive.)

My sister had the symptoms during the 7th month of her pregnancy, and had to deliver her baby prematurely.  Her baby was a pretty girl but unfortunately died after 30 days in Intensive Therapy Unit.  My sister was fine right after the delivery and has been fine since then. The delivery was on March, 2nd, 2003.

(Editor's Note:  If there are any other HELLP survivors on our e-mail list from Brazil, Claudia would like to hear from you.)
