From Erin et_ob@telusplanet.net (Fort McMurray, AB, Canada)I would like to continue to receive email from your organization. It helped me so much through the difficult time following the birth of our son in 2003. He was born at 31 weeks due to severe HELLP and preeclampsia. I am happy to report that our daughter Faith, was born 3 weeks ago. This pregnancy, while stressful had few complications. I was diagnosed with low platelets at 16 weeks but nothing ever came of it. We are so grateful that we had the courage to attempt another pregnancy and are happy that our family is complete.
From Evalyn Long My daughter, Julia delivered their first born at Milton Hershey Medical Center (Penn State) in Hershey, PA on Wednesday the 2nd. Julia developed HELLP Syndrome during labor. Mother and baby were discharged Sunday and with dad all three are doing fine. Six of the HELLP Syndrome Society brochures were distributed to Labor and Delivery personnel. Life is interesting! Thanks for being the wonderful people you are. EDITOR'S NOTE: Evalyn was the nurse in charge of the contact hours at the conference and has been a big supporter of our group. Steve and Jennifer met her when Jennifer first went into the hospital with HELLP and then through SHARE.
