Our love and deepest sympathy goes to...

From Wendy poohbear_2003_15@hotmail.com (Auburn, IN) in the loss of Nicholas Austin on January 7, 2004.

From Charles charleswoodard@hotmail.com on the loss of his daughter.

From Melissa
Mpcunniffe@aol.com (South Salem, NY) Sadly, I would like to add the name of a dear old friend and would-be new mother to your list:
Karen Sclafani died Feb. 7, 2004 after delivering her daughter in Bozeman, MT on Feb. 5, 2004.  Her loving husband, Brian, has named their little girl Aryana Karen Sclafani-Maffly. I had never heard of HELLP before; I didn't realize people could still die in childbirth.  We are profoundly devastated by her loss.  Is it true that even a c-section couldn't have prevented her death?  She was diagnosed with preeclampsia 2 days before her due date so they induced and she had a vaginal delivery.  However, within 30 minutes everything went horribly wrong.

From a Friend
hanson-parry@sympatico.ca (Oshawa, Ontarion, Canada) I am a recent survivor of HELLP syndrome. Four weeks ago today, my husband and I lost our first child, a daughter, Ila Elizabeth, to HELLP Syndrome, at 25 weeks, 2 days gestation. We are devastated, but in working through our grief, are trying to find out what we can about this condition.
